Welcome to our site! Ben is thirteen years old and lives with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a rare genetic disease. While the challenges are real, they do not define who he is. Ben’s heart shines through in his love for sports, especially cheering on the Urbandale Jayhawks, Iowa State Cyclones, and Minnesota Vikings. He also has a wonderful creative side, finding joy in arts and crafts and a passion for cooking that reflects his zest for life.
